Primrose Volunteer Fire Department
Primrose Volunteer Fire Department was established back in the late 1970's by members of the community for fire coverage in the rural areas of the county.
Primrose Fire Department covers the northern end of Atascosa County from the county line to Gates Valley Rd and areas from Old Apple White Road to Stevens Road and Heickman Road.
Primrose is dedicated to assisting our community through fundraising and community out reach.
The members of Primrose Volunteer Fire Department are 100% Volunteer.

David Croft Jr.
Fire Chief/EMT Basic
David has been in the fire service for just over 16 years. He is also a TCFP Fire fighter and Certified EMT Basic.
Chief over sees the operations and well being of the department and its members. He also in charge of all scene operations.

Veronica has been active in the department for just over 3 years, Has progressed rapidly in her knowledge and training. Her duties include assisting with day to day operations and department moral and publicity. As the Captain she is often relied on by the Chief to take the roles and responsibilities in the abscence of the Chief and the Assitant Chief

Miles Willis
Lieutenant
Board President
Miles has been in the Fire Services for just over 20 years. He is our Board President and oversees the business side of the department. Miles is also an EMT Basic and assists our Chief on many First Responder Calls.
THe Lieutenant issues orders as directed per the higher ranking officers. He is also the eyes and ears of the incident command. As Lieutenant he also takes charge when the Captain or Chiefs are not available.
